SERVICES

BridgeLink is a professional translation company in Hong Kong, providing English to Chinese translation and vice versa as its core service. We translate adapting tone, terminology and style throughout. The objective is that the translation should read as though it were originally written in the target language, rather than converted literally into it.
Below are some of the languages in which we regularly provide translations to our clients.:

· Asian languages

Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, and others.

· European languages

German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, and others.

· Minority languages

Nepali, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, Arabic, Turkish, and others.

Every linguist in our network translates into their native language and specialises in a defined field, no matter legal, business, medical or academic. This combination of native fluency and subject expertise ensures that each translation is both accurate and natural. It is also the principal advantage of a professional agency over automated tools.

Certification Service

A certified translation is a translation issued with a signed document confirming that it is accurate and complete, bearing the translation company's stamp. BridgeLink is a translation company registered in Hong Kong, and our certified translations are commonly accepted by government departments, consulates, courts, banks and educational institutions. As requirements vary among institutions, we recommend confirming the required format with the receiving body beforehand.

The documents we certify most frequently include birth and marriage certificates, academic transcripts and graduation certificates, police clearance certificates, bank statements, employment letters and driving licences. These are typically required for visa and immigration applications, university admissions, court submissions, marriage registration and bank account opening. Our scope also extends to the certifications of contracts, agreements and court filings for law firms.

The process is straightforward. Clients can submit their clear scanned documents to us. After evaluation, we will confirm the fee and delivery date for the clients. Upon the client's approval on the quote, the documents will be translated, proofread and reviewed, and then issued with our signed certification documents with authorised stamps. If an overseas institution requires notarisation, we can arrange a notarised translation through a Notary Public.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a certified translation?
A: A certified translation is a translation accompanied by signed and stamped documents from the translation company, confirming that it is accurate and complete. In Hong Kong, certified translations are commonly required by government departments, banks, courts, consulates and educational institutions. As requirements vary, please confirm with the receiving bodies beforehand.

Q: Do I need to submit the original document?
A: In most cases, a clear scanned copy or photo is sufficient for us to review the content, prepare a quotation and estimate the delivery time. If the receiving institution requires the sight of the original, or needs the final document to be presented in a specific format, we will make arrangements accordingly.

Q: What is the difference between a certified translation and a notarised translation?
A: A certified translation is confirmed by the translation company through signed and stamped documents, and is commonly accepted for submissions within Hong Kong. A notarised translation additionally involves verification by a Notary Public, and is more frequently required for overseas submissions. Please confirm which type of certification the receiving institution requires first.
